This describes how Package Relay works today. It has not been through legal review and does not yet cover liability, insurance, refunds or disputes. It should not be relied on as a contract by anyone, in either direction.

What Package Relay does
Package Relay connects people sending parcels with independent drivers who carry them. We are not the carrier. Drivers use their own vehicles, set their own hours, and are not employees.
Your account
You need an account to send a parcel. You are responsible for what happens under it, so keep your password to yourself. Browsing — routes, fares, hubs, open jobs — needs no account at all.
Driving with Package Relay
Carrying a parcel needs an approved driver application. We check identity, vehicle, licence and a guarantor before approving, and one live application is allowed per account. Approval can be withdrawn.
Fares
The figure shown when you book is an estimate produced from distance, weight, size and handover choice. It is what the driver is paid on delivery. There is no separate Package Relay fee shown today.
Fragile items are not insured
Marking an item fragile tells the driver to handle it carefully. It does not buy cover, and Package Relay charges nothing extra for it. Nothing in this app currently insures a parcel against loss or damage.
Collection and delivery
A parcel is handed to the named recipient or left at the hub named on the booking. Give an address and phone number that are correct — a delivery that fails because the details were wrong is not refunded, because there is no refund mechanism yet.
What you may not send
No cash, no weapons, no illegal drugs, nothing perishable that will spoil in transit, and nothing you are not legally entitled to move. Drivers may refuse anything, and are asked to.
Contact details on a job
A driver sees the addresses and phone numbers on a job so they can complete it. Using them for anything else ends their access. If that happens to you, write to privacy@pkrelay.ng.
Not covered yet
A lawyer still needs to write these. Until they exist, none of them should be assumed to work in anyone's favour.
Limitation of liability — what Package Relay is and is not answerable for when a parcel is lost, damaged or stolen
Insurance — whether any cover exists, who provides it, and what it pays
Cancellation and refunds — there is no refund mechanism in the app today
Dispute resolution and governing law
Driver contractor terms — the relationship, tax position and payout schedule
Termination — how an account or a driver approval is ended, and on what notice
